The issue now is whether or not he can lead the Mavs to a championship without a superstar teammate. He made significant progress toward that goal last season by leading Dallas to the Western Conference Finals. </p>



<p>The figures he put up in the playoffs were equally absurd: he scored at least 40 points three times and at least 30 points in nine of the 15 games he played in throughout the 2022 postseason.</p>
