Justin Upton has agreed to a one-year contract with the Seattle Mariners, the organization announced on Saturday.
Accompanied by right-hander Adrian Sampson being placed on the DL, the team has announced that they have parted ways.
Ahead of his debut with the Mariners, Upton will join the team’s extended Spring Training camp to prepare.

This April, the Los Angeles Angels dismissed the 34-year-old veteran. A three-time Silver Slugger Award winner and four-time All-Star, he has struggled to establish himself above the league average in recent seasons.
