Von Miller hasn’t played a game since November of 2022. His hope is to take the field in London when the Bills play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET. “I don’t know if the fans can expect to see me yet, but if I was a betting man I would say yeah, you can expect to see Von Miller in London,” Miller said in Tuesday’s edition of The Von Cast, via B/R Gridiron.



Miller is determined to play this week but acknowledges it won’t be easy. “It’s still not a promise that I play in this game,” Miller said. “I want to play in this game. I gotta practice tomorrow and I only get one padded practice. So obviously I got out there and I look amazing with this padded practice.



“Because the difference is in training camp you get multiple padded practices to kinda like figure your game out. I just get one padded practice tomorrow and then we have a shells practice on Thursday and then we fly to London on Thursday night. I really don’t have all the time in the world to like figure it out. So hopefully I look amazing tomorrow. I feel really strongly that I will.”



<h2>Von Miller’s London Ambitions</h2>



Miller’s journey back to the field began after a torn ACL ended his 2022 season. Head coach Sean McDermott announced that Miller would return to practice this week. Once a PUP (physically unable to perform) player resumes practicing, the club has three weeks to decide whether to activate him to the 53-man roster.



NFL Network’s Stacey Dales reported on Tuesday that the Bills will take Miller’s availability day by day and make a decision on his status by the end of the week. The 34-year-old Miller very much looked like his old havoc-wreaking self in his first 11 games with Buffalo, registering eight sacks and bolstering the Bills’ pass rush.



A two-time Super Bowl winner, a former Super Bowl Most Valuable Player, and a three-time All-Pro, Miller has had a parade of honors and accolades in his 12-year career. However, he’s never played a game in London and he’d very much like to check that off his career bucket list. “Who knows how many chances I’ll get to play in London, so I want this to happen,” Miller said.

After seeing Jalen Hurts flourish as a dual threat in Philadelphia, new head coach Jonathan Gannon may be prepared to give Willis a go as a developmental project behind Murray.



<h2>DeAndre Hopkins to Chiefs</h2>



With Gabriel Davis under more scrutiny as the team’s No. 2 receiver behind Stefon Diggs, the Bills may need Hopkins’ services more than ever. The Chiefs prioritized wide receiver this summer, and they drafted Rashee Rice in the second round, but Rice isn’t as technically sound a possession target as Hopkins has been at full speed. Kansas City is capable of using this location to save money by relying on Travis Kelce and <a href="https://news.thesportsdrop.com/nfl/nfl-the-worst-first-round-draft-picks-in-the-previous-10-years-20230408-SPD-3560.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Patrick Mahomes</a> to boost the performance of the rest of the team.



Hopkins has previously hinted that he would welcome a transfer to Arrowhead, and that’s with the team in a continuous Super Bowl window and all. The Cardinals could keep the veteran for when Kyler Murray comes back, but they’d probably prefer to get a good draft selection for the high-priced receiver now.



<h2>Dalvin Cook to Bills</h2>



After heavily promoting their fast but pricey running back, the Vikings could be inclined to break up with him if they use a late-round choice on DeWayne McBride, a possible power complement to the re-signed Alexander Mattison. The Dolphins, Buffalo’s AFC East opponent, have been more strongly connected to Cook, a native of Miami, but the Dolphins recently used a third-round pick on Devon Achane and re-signed Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson. 



But the Bills, who are fighting to keep their division lead, might welcome the chance to improve upon an already potent offensive unit. Former Patriots running back Damien Harris was signed, but he won’t necessarily get significant playing time or take the lead role many are hoping for. James Cook could probably handle a full-time job, but he may choose to split carries with his brother if it improves the team’s chances of winning the Super Bowl.
