Shohei Ohtani continues to take much of the limelight in the 2022 MLB season, just like he did last year. The only difference this time is that we have already gotten used to it after seeing his fantastic 2021 campaign.

It looks like there’s nothing that the Los Angeles Angels superstar can’t do. After winning an impressive 13 individual accolades in 2021, Ohtani is expected to once again bring home a number of awards.

His two-way talent, besides, has also drawn comparisons with MLB legend Babe Ruth. On Thursday, baseball fans drew those parallels again as he shone in the Angels’ 8-0 win over the Red Sox. According to Ohtani, Fenway Park may bring the best out of him.

“It’s one of my favorite ballparks,” said Ohtani, via the New York Post. “I was looking forward to pitching here.” The Angels pitcher, who struck out 11 on Thursday, added that he felt quite tired despite his great performance.

“To be honest, I was pretty fatigued. My body was pretty tired. I tried to get to sleep as early as possible and get enough sleep and rest. I think I was able to do that.”

If that’s how he performs when he’s fatigued, then his opponents will probably prefer not to face him at full strength. The Angels return to action on Friday night against the Nationals.
