The 2022 MLB season may have started less than two months ago, but some names are already making big headlines due to their performances. Nolan Arenado is one of them.
The former Colorado Rockies star is once again silencing the critics this year. Even after making the All-Star team in his first season with the St. Louis Cardinals, many doubted he could find the best version of himself away from Colorado.
Arenado, however, is putting all the doubts to rest with a fantastic start to the 2022 season, in which he has already hit seven home runs. What’s the reason behind his level? Well, besides having a lot of talent, watching Albert Pujols may have a lot to do with it.
Nolan Arenado explains how Albert Pujols helped him to perform at this level
“The relationship has been great, just talking to him about the game,” Nolan Arenado said about Albert Pujols talking to MLB Network, per ClutchPoints. “Honestly just watching him work has actually helped me the most. Watching how he goes about his work, watching his cage work, all those little things that I see how he’s doing it. And now I’m trying to apply it to my game.”
Pujols’ best days may be a bit behind him, but Arenado can certainly learn a thing or two about one of the best hitters to ever play the game. He seems to know that and it’s paying off, given that it has already brought Arenado a NL Player of the Month award.
