Jadeveon Clowney has returned to Cleveland Browns for the next season. After his best season in the last three years, Clowney became an unrestricted free agency on March 16 of this year.
A one-year contract worth $11 million has been agreed to between the veteran edge rusher and the Browns, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network‘s Tom Pelissero.
Rapoport claims that Clowney wanted to return to Cleveland after rejecting $14- to $15-million-per-year multi-year contracts from other clubs.

When it came time to re-sign as a free agent in 2021, Clowney had his eye on a move to the Browns, but he took a year off to play in Tennessee.
Clowney and Myles Garrett became a deadly edge-rushing tandem in their debut season with the Browns, each registering nine sacks, 37 tackles (11 for loss), and two fumble recoveries in 14 games.
