It’s common knowledge that in today’s NFL, success requires a strong quarterback. It’s a passing league, and although both Patrick Mahomes and Davis Mills would be valuable, having Mahomes is a tremendous advantage.
That’s why every club goes above and above to sign a quarterback who might become their franchise quarterback. Even if there is no such thing as a sure thing in the NFL Draft, there are certain players who clearly stand out.
In anticipation of the 2023 NFL Draft, we rank the three most potential quarterback prospects. So, your group needs this if you consistently rank in the top three.
3. Anthony Richardson
There isn’t a more divisive candidate in this group than Anthony Richardson. It’s not even close: the Florida star is the most athletic quarterback graduating from college this year. Of course, how he looks isn’t the only thing to consider.
It’s possible that Richardson may develop into a top-tier dual-threat quarterback in the NFL. His accuracy issues and questionable judgment may, however, scare off some clubs.
2. Bryce Young
Bryce Young was once widely considered a lock to be selected first overall. Nonetheless, some teams are wary of him because of his diminutive stature and light frame.
Nonetheless, Young satisfies all other criteria. His intelligence and capacity to subvert the defenses of his opponents at the moment are unparalleled. He has shown himself to be a natural leader who is also precise and capable of making plays with his feet.
1. CJ Stroud
CJ Stroud is now projected to be the first player selected in the 2018 NFL Draft, passing Bryce Young in that regard. He piloted an efficient Ohio State offense in college, and his prospects as a professional quarterback are bright.
Stroud has the ability to hit his opponents where they’re at, and he appears to have no throws he can’t make. In addition to his exceptional athleticism and ability to stretch plays with his feet, he also seldom makes errors or throws the football away.
